Arsenal were left frustrated at the City Ground after their 0-0 draw against Nottingham Forest.
The Gunners could’ve gone nine points clear of Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table with a win, but the gap is now just seven.
Everyone at Arsenal was disappointed with the result, and once again, the reason for the dropped points is their problems in attack.
Especially in the first half, the North Londoners were awful in front of goal. They’ve only ever been worse one other time, and that was over six years ago.

Stat shows Arsenal’s first half vs Nottingham Forest was their worst since Mikel Arteta’s debut game
Arsenal have come a long way under Mikel Arteta over the last six years.
When the Spaniard was given the job, the Gunners were in turmoil on and off the pitch. There were problems at every corner, and nobody expected them to get out of the hole they were in.
However, Arteta has done a remarkable job in transforming the club, and he is the reason why Arsenal could win multiple trophies this season.
Against Nottingham Forest in the first half, Arsenal had eight shots at goal, but none of them were on target.

That is the most shots they’ve taken in a half without hitting the target since Arteta’s first-ever game in charge – against Bournemouth back in 2019.
Ironically, that game ended 0-0 as well, but the disappointment now is much greater because Arsenal are levels above where they were back then.

Arsenal generated an xG of 2.37 against Nottingham Forest but still failed to score.
Gabriel Martinelli missed an absolute sitter in the first half, while Viktor Gyokeres failed to convert his chance when he was through on goal.

Declan Rice could’ve tapped the ball in from a cross in the second half, but he didn’t get on the end of it. Mikel Merino had a big chance with his head, but he couldn’t hit the target either.
Bukayo Saka came the closest to scoring, and he did everything right with his header. But Matz Sels pulled off an amazing save to deny him.
On another day, Arsenal would’ve won the game 5-0, but the fact of the matter is that they dropped points against Forest. That is not good enough.
