Arsenal match ratings vs West Ham, Mikel Arteta’s team win but Bukayo Saka and three others get 3/10

Leandro Trossard’s goal against West Ham clinched Arsenal the win, but the likes of Bukayo Saka, Viktor Gyokeres and Martin Zubimendi all struggled.

The Gunners remain top of the Premier League table by five points after Trossard netted an 83rd-minute goal for the Gunners.

It was a win which could get Mikel Arteta’s team over the line in the race for the Premier League title, by they really had to fight for the win.

Following the victory at the London Stadium, Arsenal Insider takes a look at the match ratings from the North London club’s win.

David Raya – 9

David Raya produced one of the finest saves in recent times to keep the game at 0-0, and a moment which could be huge in the title race.

Ben White – 6

Ben White was forced off with an injury during the first half, and his absence significantly weakened Arsenal.

The Gunners looked weaker down the right side after he went off, and Declan Rice was forced into midfield.

Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba – 8

Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba were once again flawless during the win at the London Stadium and were huge in helping keep a clean sheet.

Riccardo Calafiori – 7

Riccardo Calafiori did a great job against Jarrod Bowen in the first-half.

However, Arteta subbed Calafiori off at half-time to bring on Cristhian Mosquera and move Myles Lewis-Skelly to left-back.

Declan Rice – 6

Rice was moved around from midfield to full-back and back, but it was not his finest afternoon upon his return to East London.

Myles Lewis-Skelly – 4

Myles Lewis-Skelly didn’t have his best game and was quite quiet all afternoon.

Eberechi Eze – 3

Eberechi Eze had a very quiet afternoon at the London Stadium and failed to register any of his three shots on target.

Bukayo Saka – 3

Bukayo Saka has been brilliant since his return, but the winger had a very poor afternoon at the London Stadium.

The 24-year-old failed to get a single shot on target and completed just 17 passes.

Leandro Trossard – 7

Leandro Trossard scored the all-important goal, which could have just won Arsenal the Premier League title.

Viktor Gyokeres – 3

Like most of Arsenal’s attackers, Viktor Gyokeres had a very quiet game at the London Stadium, managing just two shots all afternoon.

Martin Odegaard – 7

Martin Odegaard got the assist for Trossard’s match-winning goal, and his introduction changed the game for the Gunners.

Martin Zubimendi – 3
