Mikel Arteta made seven changes to his starting lineup at the San Siro. Many of his regulars were left on the bench, but Bukayo Saka returned to the side after being named as a substitute against Nottingham Forest in the previous fixture.
The England international was absolutely outstanding on the right wing and was easily one of Arsenal’s best players.

Italian press heap praise on ‘unstoppable’ Arsenal star Bukayo Saka
Saka is one of the best players in the world; there’s no debate there.
The Englishman hasn’t had a great season in terms of numbers – he has scored seven goals and provided seven assists in 30 games.
That is well below his own high standards, but Saka’s performances have mostly been outstanding, and that was once again the case against Inter Milan in the Champions League.
Arsenal fans loved their number seven’s display, and they will all be delighted to read what the Italian press have written about him.
Calciomercato wrote: “On the right, he can do whatever he wants. The quality in dribbling is immense, and when he starts with the ball at his feet, they can’t counter it.”
Virgilio Sport added: “More than known qualities, continuous impact throughout the race. Unpredictable and unstoppable.”
Tutto Mercato Web said: “A nightmare on the right-wing attacking front for Inter’s defence. He enters the box with disarming ease, always putting dangerous balls in the way. In the second half, his incisiveness in terms of finishing on goal also increased.”
Bukayo Saka’s stats vs Inter Milan are very impressive
Saka rarely ever has a bad game for Arsenal.
The 24-year-old’s decision-making is consistently brilliant, and even when he doesn’t score or assist, he almost always has a huge impact on the game.
Against Inter, Saka had 60 touches of the ball and created three chances. He also had five shots at goal, completed all but one of his dribbles and also recovered the ball three times. (Sofascore)
