Jack Grealish has been speaking about the most skilful players in the Premier League, but he dismissed Bukayo Saka as one of the options.
Arsenal travel away to Everton on the weekend, and ahead of the clash, the Toffees’ winger has been speaking about his England teammate.
Fill the blanks: If Arsenal didn’t have Bukayo Saka, they’d finish __ in the Premier League this season.
Saka and Grealish are likely to be key players in the Premier League clash at the Hill Dickson Stadium, with the England pair in great form.
Last weekend, Saka carried Arsenal to three points, and he might well need to do the same again against Everton.
But before the two teams face off, Grealish has suggested that one Everton star is far more skilful than Arsenal’s talisman.
Jack Grealish believes Illyman Ndiaye is much more skilful than Bukayo Saka
Jack Grealish believes Illyman Ndiaye is possibly the most skilful player in the Premier League, and has dismissed Bukayo Saka from the conversation.
The Everton winger called Saka “one of the best in the world”, but added that he is not a player who plays with much flair.
He was, however, full of praise for Ndiaye’s ability with the ball and suggested there are not many players who can do what he can.
When asked where Saka ranks in terms of the most skilful, Grealish told Stan Sports: “Saks, for example, he’s so good, he’s one of the best wingers in the world, but he’s not skilful.”
Where does Bukayo Saka rank amongst Arsenal’s top five most important players right now?
Does he rank higher than Rice, Saliba or Trossard? 🤔
The 29-year-old also compared him to Manchester City winger Jeremy Doku in terms of needing a bit more space to really utilise their pace.
When asked what makes Ndiyae so skilful, he added: “He’s just in and out. Whereas Doku might need a bit of space for his pace, same as Saka as well.”
Everton will be without Ilyman Ndiaye against Arsenal
Arsenal will head to Merseyside to face an Everton team who have been stripped of Ndiaye, with the winger having travelled off to AFCON.
Meanwhile, Idrissa Gana Gueye has also travelled off to AFCON, handing the Gunners a huge advantage on the weekend.
Grealish is also touch and go for the match, having been forced off with a hamstring issue in the last game against Chelsea.
Kiernan Dreswbury-Hall is also a doubt due to a hamstring injury, and currently, he looks set to miss out.
