Four Arsenal players were in action as England beat Andorra 2-0 in an incredibly underwhelming display at Villa Park.
Thomas Tuchel is yet to win fans over since taking the reins from Gareth Southgate.
England were victorious against Andorra, but with eyes firmly on the fast-approaching 2026 World Cup, there are certainly causes for concern.
That being said, from an Arsenal point of view, the Three Lions’ victory was a cause for celebration, not only because of Declan Rice’s goal.

Noni Madueke impresses on international duty
Mikel Arteta will be keeping track of the Arsenal players on international duty, particularly after what unfolded at Villa Park.
For the first time in 11 years, as many as four Arsenal players were named in an England starting XI, with Eberechi Eze, Noni Madueke, Myles Lewis-Skelly and Rice in action.
Though Rice found himself on the scoresheet, it was Madueke who impressed the most out of the Arsenal representatives.
The Guardian described the winger as ‘England’s brightest attacker’, handing the summer signing a 7/10 match rating.
Seven was also the score the Standard gave Madueke, applauding Arsenal’s number 20 being ‘sharp’ and causing defenders ‘problems with some mazy runs’.
Mirror Sport appreciated what they saw from the former Chelsea star, insisting that Madueke is ‘definitely nailing down a World Cup place’ ahead of next summer.
‘Madueke looked to take his man on at every opportunity,’ is what the BBC had to say about the Arsenal winger, giving him a 7/10 rating.
It was a strong performance from Madueke, who shone in an England side who were far from at their best.
Madueke’s stats against Andorra
Arsenal fans liked what they saw from Madueke, who played on the right side in place of Bukayo Saka, just as he does for his club at present.
Based on how the 23-year-old is currently performing, Arsenal will feel no need to rush Saka back, who is recovering from a hamstring injury.
Noni Madueke vs Andorra
90 minutes
75 touches
87% pass success
3 key passes
2 shots
4 attempted dribbles
5 duels won
Madueke is showing that he thrives in similar areas to Saka, not only through how he takes on his man, but also how he can act as a playmaker.
Against Andorra, the forward recorded three key passes, creating more chances than any player on the pitch.
Arteta would’ve certainly liked what he saw from Madueke, with all eyes on what he can produce when England face a tougher test as Serbia await.
