Arsenal’s chances of winning the Premier League title took a hit after they dropped points against Wolves.
The leaders faced the bottom-placed side in the league table, and everyone expected a straightforward victory for the Gunners. They even went 2-0 up and looked in the perfect position to collect the three points.
However, Arsenal’s performance levels dropped badly after they doubled the lead, and Wolves deservedly equalised in the end.
Following the result, Mikel Arteta’s chances of winning the Premier League title this season reduced slightly.

Opta’s supercomputer predicts Arsenal’s Premier League title chances after 2-2 draw vs Wolves
Arsenal had the chance to go nine points clear of Manchester City recently, but their poor results could now bring the gap down to just two.
Pep Guardiola’s side are currently five points behind the Gunners, but they have a game in hand.
If City win that fixture and then manage to beat Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium, they will win the Premier League title as long as they match the Gunners’ results.
That is why the draw against Wolves is being seen as such a big blow for the Gunners, but Opta’s supercomputer believes Arsenal are still the overwhelming favourites to lift the title.

The draw has dropped the North Londoners’ chances of winning the Premier League from 85.81 per cent to 80.58 per cent.
Manchester City have seen a spike in their hopes of pipping Arsenal to the crown. Opta have given Guardiola’s side a 15.91 per cent chance of doing it.
Opta are clearly backing Arteta’s men to win the title despite the draws against Brentford and Wolves, but something will have to change for them to go all the way.

Arsenal could’ve been in an even worse position
The Arsenal players cannot complain about the draw at Wolves; they can only blame themselves.
Even though Wolves are rock bottom in the Premier League table, it was always going to be a tough game – that was evident when the two sides faced each other at the Emirates.
Arsenal beat Wolves 2-1 in that game thanks to a couple of own goals. They could’ve easily dropped points back then too and been in a far worse position.
Arteta’s men got lucky at the Emirates, but it wasn’t to be on Wednesday night as Wolves capitalised on the Gunners being poor and secured a late draw.
Up next for Arsenal is the North London Derby against Tottenham. It remains to be seen how they will bounce back after two damaging results.
