Chris Sutton has been left bemused after the Sporting CP clash due to what he has heard about Arsenal and their Premier League title challenge.

Chris Sutton believes Arsenal title doubters are ‘foolish’
Sutton has backed the Gunners to go on and win the Premier League despite their recent struggles.
In his view, a loss to Manchester City is not indicative of anything larger, as any team can lose to a Pep Guardiola side.
He also does not see Arsenal getting knocked out of the FA Cup, as they played a weakened team in that one.

The former Chelsea and Celtic striker was impressed with David Raya’s performance as he made crucial saves against Sporting.
He has been happy with how Mikel Arteta has prioritised the Champions League and the Premier League.
Sutton wrote on X: “All the Arsenal doubters looking foolish…after losing to Manchester City ( City can beat anyone) and Arsenal reserves losing to a good Southampton team with momentum…
“Arteta prioritised understandably and that’s a great hard fought win.
“David Raya is some goalkeeper.”
TRUE or FALSE: David Raya is the best goalkeeper in the world…
How Arsenal managed to get the job done against Sporting CP
In a tense Champions League clash in Lisbon, the Gunners secured a vital 1-0 victory courtesy of Havertz’s stoppage-time winner.
The German poked the ball past Rui Silva in the dying seconds to give the visitors a narrow but precious advantage ahead of next week’s second leg at the Emirates.
Arsenal arrived under pressure following two straight defeats, their first of the season, but Arteta ensured that they focused on the job in hand.
The London outfit dominated possession early on and created a few clear chances, with Noni Madueke striking the crossbar from a corner.
Sporting were dangerous on the break, hitting the woodwork through Maxi Araujo and wasting a good opportunity via Francisco Trincao.
A Martin Zubimendi strike was correctly ruled out for offside in the build-up.
Raya made crucial late saves to keep the score level before Havertz’s intervention in the dying stages.
The win provided Arsenal with a major confidence boost as they return to Premier League action.
