Arsenal have a lot of positives to take despite losing the Champions League final to Paris Saint-Germain.
Yes, Cristhian Mosquera’s foul and penalty misses from Gabriel Magalhaes and Eberechi Eze will be put in the spotlight, but the Gunners did a lot of good things too.
Kai Havertz scored a lovely goal, the backline was incredibly solid, and Declan Rice played well once again in the middle of the park.
The player who caught David Beckham’s eye, however, was Myles Lewis-Skelly.

David Beckham hails Myles Lewis-Skelly’s performance in the Champions League final
A few eyebrows were raised when Mikel Arteta handed a start to Lewis-Skelly against PSG.
Don’t get us wrong, the teenager completely deserved to keep his place in the side, but choosing him over an experienced campaigner like Martin Zubimendi in the biggest game in the club’s history was a courageous move.
Lewis-Skelly did not disappoint.
The Arsenal academy graduate held his own against the best midfield in Europe, got the better of them at times, and even when he made a mistake, he recovered well.

Beckham, who knows a thing or two about great performances on big stages, was blown away by Lewis-Skelly and heaped praise on him.
He said on CBS Sports while watching the game: “I think Myles has been exceptional!
“For such a young lad to perform the way he has performed, especially in the last part of the season, he’s such an important person in this game.
“He plays with so much confidence.”

Myles Lewis-Skelly made a statement vs PSG despite Arsenal’s defeat
No Arsenal player will want to remember the game against PSG.
Losing the Champions League final, that too in a penalty shootout, is a painful feeling, and everyone will suffer for a long time because of it.
However, Lewis-Skelly’s performance was a massive positive, and it sent a message loud and clear – his future lies in midfield.
There have been rumours that Arsenal could sell Lewis-Skelly this summer, but after his recent upturn in form in the middle of the park, keeping him and using him in that role is a no-brainer.
We think the youngster will be at the club next season and beyond.
