Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly have long been seen as two of Arsenal’s brightest prospects.
The two academy graduates were expected to play a big role in the club’s future, but this season has not gone to plan for either of them. Opportunities have been limited, and their development has stalled as a result.
What would your immediate reaction be if Arsenal sold Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly?
Nwaneri struggled for minutes in the first half of the campaign and was sent out on loan to Marseille in January. He began brilliantly but hasn’t started a game since Roberto De Zerbi’s departure.
Lewis-Skelly has faced a similar situation and has dropped down the pecking order at left-back. He is behind both Piero Hincapie and Riccardo Calafiori now.
Now, with Arsenal needing to balance their books after heavy spending last summer, the two teenagers could be sold.
Arsenal slap combined £100m minimum price tag on Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly
Arsenal are expected to listen to offers for several players this summer, and Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly are among the names being discussed internally.
Both youngsters signed long-term deals last year, but interest is growing from multiple clubs.

BBC Sport claim that Borussia Dortmund are monitoring Nwaneri closely, while several Premier League sides are also keeping an eye on his situation. Lewis-Skelly has attracted interest from teams in the top half of the table as well.
The incentive to sell for Arsenal rises from the fact that both players came through the academy, and any potential sale would count as pure profit on the club’s books.
The report claims that the Gunners are looking to receive a combined fee of at least £100 million to sell the two youngsters.
That, collectively, seems like a huge valuation, but it’s just £50 million each if you break it down, which just feels far too small considering their potential.
If you could set Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly’s price tags, how much would you demand?
Arsenal must include buy-back clauses if they sell Nwaneri and Lewis-Skelly
Nwaneri and Lewis-Skelly are among the best young players in the world, and they have the potential to become world-class in the coming years.
Letting them go without any control over their long-term future would be a very silly move from Arsenal.
That is why Andrea Berta should insist on including buy-back clauses in any deal. That would give them the option to bring the duo back for a fixed fee if they go on to fulfil their potential.
Selling either Nwaneri or Lewis-Skelly will anger Arsenal fans, but having clauses to bring them back one day would offer some comfort.
Ideally, however, we would like Mikel Arteta to keep both players because we are convinced that they will become superstars.
