Several Arsenal players had impressive performances, and Gabriel was rightfully given Man of the Match, but the Gunners’ goalkeeper should not be overlooked.

David Raya was Arsenal’s real hero during their 2-1 win over Chelsea as he pulled off four world-class saves.

The Spanish goalkeeper’s first big save of the game was to deny Declan Rice from turning the ball into his own net, showing great presence in his penalty area.

In the second half, he pulled off another remarkable stop from a corner, this time diving and catching a point-blank header from Joao Pedro.

In the dying embers of the match, the 30-year-old pulled off a match-winning save as he got a big hand to a dangerous Chelsea cross, which looked destined for the far corner.

So far this season, Raya has made some world-class saves, and it is no wonder he remains in the lead for the Premier League Golden Glove award.

Right now, Gianluigi Donnarumma and Raya are really making the Premier League title race very interesting, with some seriously strong performances.

Donnarumma edges Raya out for fewer goals conceded with 21 to 23, but the Arsenal goalkeeper has 13 clean sheets to 10.

During his press conference, Arteta hailed his goalkeeper, stating: “David is one of our leaders, without a doubt.

“He is a keeper who knows how to maintain his focus and decide a football match when you need him. Sometimes he doesn’t participate at all, and then in one action you have to be there.”
