Bradley Barcola may have jumped to the top of Arsenal’s wish list.
The Gunners’ top target was Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers, but he is now on his way to Chelsea after snubbing the Premier League champions.
Arsenal fans urged Andrea Berta to sign Barcola immediately to avoid missing out on him too, and some fuel has been added to the fire.

Even though most fans hate the third-place playoff at the World Cup, many of them ended up watching England take on France on Saturday night.
Surprisingly, it turned out to be an incredible game of football.
England went 4-0 up in the first half, but France then scored thrice to make the game much more interesting.
The Three Lions won 6-4 in the end, which is a great result for them, and Saka was the best player on the pitch, having scored a brilliant hat-trick.
After the game, like everyone else, my eyes were glued to the television screen, and I saw Bradley Barcola and Saka in conversation.
The Arsenal man said something to the France international while covering his mouth, and Barcola seemed to burst out laughing.
Of course, nobody knows what they said, but after missing out on Rogers, I’m sure many Arsenal fans will be hoping that they were speaking about being teammates next season.
Bradley Barcola is the obvious alternative to Morgan Rogers for Arsenal
If the choice was between Rogers and Barcola, I probably would’ve gone with the former too, but that looks impossible for Arsenal now.
The Frenchman becomes the obvious second option now, and he is by no means a bad player.
Barcola is fast, brilliant on the ball, a great dribbler, and as he showed at the World Cup, he has a great eye for goal as well.
Rogers would’ve been great, but Barcola is a serious upgrade on Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli as well, and I won’t have any problems with Andrea Berta bringing him in.
However, Arsenal will have to act fast to avoid a repeat of the Rogers situation.
