John Terry claims he watched Max Dowman in action for Arsenal’s academy against Chelsea, and he was so impressed by the youngster’s dribbling ability.
The former Chelsea captain could not believe that the 16-year-old managed to score and is backing him to have a huge future at Arsenal.
Speaking on TikTok, Terry said: “Max Dowman, what a player by the way! 16 years of age. Absolutely incredible.
“I watched him play against Chelsea about a year ago, and I’ve not seen anyone glide past players other than Messi.
“That’s a big, big comparison, but this man is a proper talent, and he’s going to play a big part in Arsenal’s future, also England’s as well. But super, super talent and what a win for them today.”

Viktor Gyokeres also praised Dowman, telling Sky Sports: “It’s incredible! You can see how he plays; he plays so calmly and without fear every time he gets the ball.”
Meanwhile, his manager, Mikel Arteta, told the media: “He just plays so naturally. He makes decisions to make things happen, and what he delivered was incredible.”
Dowman has been showing so many signs that he will become a huge player for Arsenal, but his Man of the Match performance against Everton looks to be his big moment.
