Arsenal continued their unbeaten start to the season with a dramatic 4-2 win over Leicester City at the Emirates.
The Gunners somehow made it difficult for themselves in the second half, as their two-goal lead was squandered.
As goals from Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard saw Mikel Arteta’s side head into the interval 2-0 up, a sense of confidence set in at the Emirates.
Such confidence did not last, as James Justin netted two early into the second half, piling the pressure on the hosts to step up and fight for three points.
Dominating the game wasn’t enough for Arsenal to make it easy, with a Wilfred Ndidi stoppage time goal handing the Gunners a last-gasp lead, capped off by Kai Havertz’s 99th minute tap in.

Kai Havertz joins exclusive Premier League club with goal in Arsenal win over Leicester
By scoring in the dying embers, Havertz netted his third of the Premier League season, continuing his fine form in front of goal in the 2023/24 campaign.

Havertz’s third of the season marked his 50th Premier League goal contribution, making him only the fifth German player to reach such landmark.
The Arsenal star joins former Gunner Mesut Ozil in the list of the best performing German international’s in front of goal in the competition, as Ozil recorded 88 goals and assists during his career in England.
As well as Ozil, Havertz joins Leroy Sane, Ilkay Gundogan and Pascal Gross to reach the Premier League milestone, racking up 35 goals and 15 assists to continue his story in the English top-flight.
Mikel Arteta is getting the best out of Havertz
The record is significant for the German as it only emphasises the home he’s found in N5 since joining Arsenal from Chelsea last summer.
Many had reservations about the transfer at the time, which Havertz dismissed as he found his feet half way through his first season with the club.
The versatile forward has a lot to thank Arteta for on his rise to the top in North London, with the manager keeping the faith in the 25-year-old when his form was poor at the start of his Arsenal career.
Now, the boss is reaping the benefits of his trust in Havertz, with the Germany international recording 24 of his 50 goal contributions in the Premier League at Arsenal, despite spending three seasons at Chelsea.
Arteta has truly cracked the code to fill Havertz with confidence in England, giving the striker a platform to shine at the Emirates.
