Arsenal have beaten Chelsea 3-2 in the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-finals.
Stamford Bridge is never an easy place to go to. The Gunners experienced that earlier this season when they couldn’t beat the Blues despite playing a large part of the game with a numerical advantage.
On Wednesday night, Arsenal were a lot better and deservedly won the game. In fact, they should’ve scored two or three more goals.
New Chelsea boss Liam Rosenior was pleased with his side’s performance, not just because they reduced the deficit but also because of the quality of the team they did it against.

Liam Rosenior says Arsenal are the ‘best pressing team in Europe’
Arsenal were excellent against Chelsea.
The Gunners took the lead after just seven minutes through Ben White. The England international got on the end of Declan Rice’s corner and nodded the ball home.
Viktor Gyokeres then doubled Arsenal’s lead in the second half before Martin Zubimendi scored the goal of the game with his weaker foot later on.
All the talk about Arsenal is usually regarding set-pieces, and many fans felt that would be the case again after the win at Stamford Bridge.
However, Rosenior, who claimed before the game that he doesn’t see Arsenal as ‘Set Piece FC’, has now labelled the Gunners as ‘the best pressing team in Europe’.
He said in his press conference, as relayed on HaytersTV: “We’re playing probably, in terms of a pressing team, probably the best pressing team in Europe today with a full-strength team.”

Some big performances 💪
Arsenal are the best team in the world in multiple aspects, but they cannot say it yet
Rosenior is right, Arsenal’s pressing is right up there, but that is not the only aspect of the game that they are incredible at.
The Gunners are better than any other club in set-pieces thanks to Nicolas Jover, and their defence, with William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes, is the best as well.
The same can be said about their midfield and their ability in transition, but football fans in general will not accept any of the above statements.
That’s because Arsenal haven’t won anything yet, and until they do, they will not get the credit they deserve.
