Martin Odegaard and Viktor Gyokeres are still getting used to each other’s style of play at Arsenal.
The Gunners signed the Swedish striker from Sporting CP in the summer transfer window, and he has had a decent start to life in the famous red and white.
On Wednesday night in the Champions League, Gyokeres had a very good game, but he didn’t manage to find the back of the net.
Odegaard, who was pulling the strings behind him, has delivered his verdict.
Arsenal star Martin Odegaard says Viktor Gyokeres is very ‘aggressive’
Viktor Gyokeres was the most prolific striker in Europe during his time at Sporting CP.
The Swede scored 97 goals in 102 games for the Portuguese giants and helped them win the league title in back-to-back seasons.
Arsenal signed Gyokeres with the hope that he would do the same at the Emirates, and early signs are positive, even though he has only scored three goals so far.
Martin Odegaard fed the striker through on goal against Olympiacos in the Champions League, and he has realised that Gyokeres is very aggressive when he plays such balls towards him.
He said on TNT Sports: “That is what I want to do, especially with those forward players, especially with Viktor, who is so aggressive and always a threat.
“That is my job, to create things for them. I could have had a few more assists, but we got the win and I enjoyed it.”

Martin Odegaard will be key to unlocking Viktor Gyokeres
Gyokeres looked very good against Olympiacos.
The Swede was constantly running, battled for every ball, and his strength was just too much for the Greek club’s defenders to handle.
Odegaard played Gyokeres through a few times, and the Arsenal striker even got some shots off. However, he just couldn’t find the back of the net.
That is a shame, but those movements are really promising.
If Gyokeres continues to make those runs and Odegaard plays like he did on Wednesday night, we are certain that the Arsenal striker will score plenty of goals.
