Martin Zubimendi is proving to be a fine signing for Arsenal.
The Spain international was one of eight players Andrea Berta brought to the Emirates in the summer, and he has been magnificent.
Zubimendi is one of the first names on Arsenal’s team sheet every week, and he started against Club Brugge on Wednesday night.
Noni Madueke took all the plaudits, but the former Real Sociedad man was exceptional as well.

Martin Zubimendi’s stats for Arsenal vs Club Brugge are incredible
Martin Zubimendi is one of Arsenal’s most important players.
The Spaniard is positionally outstanding, great in the air, and brilliant at breaking play up. Those are the traits you would normally associate with a world-class number six.
However, Zubimendi is also incredible on the ball, possesses a phenomenal range of passing, and is capable of creating chances for his teammates as well.
On Wednesday night against Club Brugge, the number 36 created six chances, which is the most by an Arsenal player in a single game in any competition this season (Squawka).
Zubimendi picked up two assists from those chances, but that’s not all.
The 26-year-old also made 10 final third entries despite being a defensive midfielder, recovered the ball eight times, won four duels, and registered two interceptions for Arsenal against the Belgian giants.
Those are some incredible numbers, and we’re sure Mikel Arteta will be very happy with his midfielder’s performance.

Martin Zubimendi is proving to be a very underrated Arsenal signing
Arsenal fans didn’t get too excited about the Zubimendi signing in the summer.
One of the reasons for the above was that everyone knew this was happening months in advance, so the official announcement didn’t get the hype it deserved.
However, Zubimendi has been tremendous in the middle of the park for the Gunners. He has taken next to no time to adapt, has formed a great partnership with Declan Rice, and is having a positive impact in attack as well as defence.
Yet, Arsenal fans and people outside the club do not give Zubimendi the praise he deserves because everyone has got used to seeing him perform at such a high level every week.
That, in our opinion, is why Zubimendi has been Arsenal’s most underrated signing this year.
