Tottenham’s new temporary boss Igor Tudor has the toughest task possible on his Premier League debut when he takes on Mikel Arteta’s table-topping Arsenal.

The Gunners are looking to put the midweek disappointment against Wolves behind them.

Taking it out on local rivals Spurs would be the ideal comeback and Mikel Arteta will be desperate to see his side bounce back.

However, facing the unknown of Igor Tudor can be both a positive and negative for the Gunners.

Indeed, for Arteta, it’s something he is becoming used to after facing new managers regularly this season.

Tottenham go into this NLD as huge underdogs. They have around 13 players fully fit and come into the clash low on confidence with a manager who has not faced the English game before.

However, Arteta is wary of what Tudor could bring to the table and he admitted he and his team have studied him heavily ahead of facing yet another new coach.

“I think it’s happened seven times to us already this season, so we are getting used to it. Yeah, we have analysed everything he has done in his career and clubs, different formations, the players they have available and of course, from there we will have the capacity to adapt to the situation in the game and take it from there, and do what we have to do to win” Arteta said.

Speaking further on if the North London Derby is the ideal game to put the Wolves result behind them, the Gunners boss admitted it’s just a case of next game.

“It’s the one we have after and it’s the one we cannot wait to play. If we could play today, I think we’d all love to play today, to get that feeling that we have in our tummies and use it in the right way and we have to show that on Sunday.”

Arsenal can stop any ‘new manager bounce’ with ease

Tottenham fans will be hoping and begging for a miracle here but in reality, this is a game where Arsenal can truly come back to life.

Spurs are struggling massively and while Tudor has had a week or so to work with the players, those players are sparse in availability.

Furthermore, the appointment of Tudor has hardly gone down brilliantly among the Spurs fans.

Of course, there is a chance for Tudor to instantly make himself a Spurs legend by denting Arsenal’s title hopes further here.

But the stark reality is that if Arsenal play to even 80% of their maximum, then it should be a stroll in the park.

In fact, we could be looking at a big scoreline and if Arsenal get it right, Gunners fans will be in for a memorable day.
