Arsenal continued their good run against Chelsea by beating them 3-2 in the Carabao Cup semi-final.
The Gunners were much better than the Blues on Wednesday night and deserved to win the game. They should’ve actually won by three or four more goals.
Ben White opened the scoring after just seven minutes before Viktor Gyokeres doubled Arsenal’s lead from close range in the second half.
Then, Martin Zubimendi scored what proved to be the winner, and his goal amazed Mikel Arteta.
How much is Martin Zubimendi worth to Arsenal now?
It's certainly a lot more than the £51m we paid!
Mikel Arteta was in ‘disbelief’ after watching Martin Zubimendi’s goal for Arsenal vs Chelsea
Zubimendi has been a tremendous signing for Arsenal.
The Spain international was wanted by several top clubs over the last few years, but he refused to join anyone during that period.
Even Arsenal faced rejection back then, but Arteta eventually convinced him, and he officially became a Gunner in the summer.
Zubimendi has exceeded everyone’s expectations. He has been brilliant in every phase of the game and has now started scoring plenty of goals as well.

When the former Real Sociedad man got in the box, fooled a couple of Chelsea players and then unleashed a fine strike with his weaker foot, many people couldn’t believe it.
Even Arteta had his hands on his head in surprise.
The Telegraph’s Sam Dean was at Stamford Bridge, and he tweeted: “Arteta celebrated that Zubimendi goal by turning to his coaching staff and putting his hands to his head in disbelief.
“It’s the little shift, the fake shot, that really makes it.”
Answer honestly, have you been surprised by how good Martin Zubimendi has been?
Martin Zubimendi has brought a surprise factor to Arsenal
Zubimendi made a name for himself as one of the best defensive midfielders in Europe during his time at Real Sociedad.
The 26-year-old is a typical Spanish number six. He is fantastic on the ball, has a great eye for a pass and is never fazed in possession, even if he is surrounded by opposition players.
But what has been surprising about Zubimendi at Arsenal is his ability to score goals.
The midfielder has scored four goals already this season, which is his career best return. He will almost certainly add to that tally in the coming months.
Arsenal didn’t spend over £50 million on Zubimendi for his goals, but the fact that he is chipping in is proving to be a blessing in disguise.
