Myles Lewis-Skelly matches Cesc Fabregas North London Derby record

Gabriel was awarded the Premier League Man of the Match award however, there was a strong claim for Myles Lewis-Skelly to win the prize.

The 18-year-old quite frankly showed off on his North London Derby debut, schooling Spurs on the left flank at every given opportunity.

Lewis-Skelly celebrated cheekily with the Arsenal fans when he was substituted off, on what was a glorious night for the teen, who actually made history.

That is because the 18-year-old became the youngest player to start a North London Derby for Arsenal in 20 years, matching Cesc Fabregas’ record.

Fabregas started against Spurs back in 2005, with Lewis-Skelly joining him in the record books of the standout fixture.

The teenager not only showed his passion for Arsenal on the pitch with his performance but at full-time also.

After the game was won, Lewis-Skelly celebrated wildly on the pitch, spotted ‘roaring’ at the home fans and kissing the badge on his chest, as journalist Sam Dean noted.

It was a dream outcome from a dream scenario for the Hale End graduate, who is having a breakthrough season to remember, earning the full trust of Arteta.

Against Spurs, the 18-year-old only strengthened his claim to the starting XI, in what was a remarkable showing from the youngster.
