Arsenal took on Tottenham in another huge clash between the rivals in the North London Derby, the second of the season.

While the Gunners looked to make early dominance count at the Emirates Stadium, they fell behind through Heung-Min Son.

Fortunately, Arsenal were able to turn it around before the halfway mark in the match as an own goal from Dominic Solanke was backed up by a strike from Leandro Trossard.

Mikel Arteta’s side kept knocking at the door but were unable to extend the lead, but did take an important win at the Emirates Stadium.

With plenty going on in the North London Derby, here’s a look at a few things you might’ve missed from the big clash.

Referee error in Arsenal vs Tottenham

It’s not the easiest of jobs for referees in the Premier League, with Arsenal feeling as though they have been hard done by in recent weeks.

It was the Gunners who got a slice of luck though as their equaliser on the night could’ve easily not have come about altogether.

That’s because the corner that Arsenal won for the goal shouldn’t have been one to begin with, as referee Simon Hooper and his assistant on the line missed the ball rebounding off of Leandro Trossard – meaning it should’ve been a goal kick instead.

It was a huge slice of luck, but a bit that Arsenal will feel they have been entitled to as of late.

Kieran Tierney position change

Going into the second half, Mikel Arteta was looking to keep control of the tie and did so in making some changes through the tie.

One such move from the manager saw him introduce Kieran Tierney into the fray for what could be one of his final games for Arsenal.

Amid links with a possible exit, the Scotland international didn’t slot into his usual left-back role, but elsewhere.

Arteta placed Tierney on the left wing, where he was able to wreak havoc and could’ve landed an assist with a few crosses.

Referee warns Declan Rice over corner time

There have been some complaints over recent weeks regarding the time that Declan Rice takes over his set-pieces.

The midfielder can walk leisurely to set himself up to take the perfect corner, but this time it was spotted by Simon Hooper.

The referee warned the England international early in the first half, telling him to get on with the action.

Myles Lewis-Skelly reaction for Arsenal vs Tottenham

Hale End academy graduate Myles Lewis-Skelly started at left-back in the North London Derby aged just 18 years old.

Given the occasion, it would be a surprise to learn that the defender made his first appearance against Tottenham in the tense environment.

The 18-year-old impressed with a more than comfortable performance and even managed to rile up the Spurs players late on when he was subbed off.

His exit saw him walk past the Arsenal faithful, where he cheered and whipped them up into a frenzy as victory neared.

Bukayo Saka and Ethan Nwaneri in attendance

Arsenal duo Bukayo Saka and Ethan Nwaneri were in attendance at the Emirates Stadium for the North London Derby.

The pair have been out injured over the past month but were able to watch as their side went on to earn a big win.

Saka was seen on crutches during the time at pitchside, while Nwaneri was walking freely as the pair look to recover.
