Arsenal winger Noni Madueke shared his thoughts on the Gunners’ 4-1 North London Derby win over Tottenham.
It was a memorable day for Mikel Arteta’s side, who took a much-needed step forward in the title race while sending Spurs closer to the relegation zone.
Viktor Gyokeres and Eberechi Eze were the heroes in N17, both scoring twice to steer their team towards Arsenal’s biggest North London Derby win in Premier League history.
Arteta’s tweaks to his attack made the difference, and while it meant that Noni Madueke missed out on a fifth consecutive Premier League start, the winger enjoyed his afternoon nonetheless.

If you could send one message to Tottenham fans after Arsenal’s 4-1 North London Derby win, what would it be?

Madueke was in great form leading up to the North London Derby, but he only managed to get one minute on the pitch at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
It only took four touches on the ball for Madueke to realise that Spurs were no match for Arsenal, as he made clear post-match.
A video on Arsenal’s official Instagram page shared the squad’s reaction to winning the derby when heading back into the dressing room.
Gabriel Magalhaes was loud, as was David Raya, but when it came to Madueke, he only had two words to say.
“Too easy,” the summer signing said, mocking Tottenham’s performance in the biggest game of their season.
It was a funny reaction from the Arsenal star, who returned to his former home and took three points, having represented Spurs at academy level.
Why Noni Madueke left Tottenham’s academy
Madueke actually captained Tottenham at U16 level, which isn’t an unfamiliar tale at Arsenal.
Like Sol Campbell before him, the Englishman wore the armband and left Spurs, only to enjoy beating the Lilywhites at Arsenal.

The grass has been greener for Madueke, but why did he leave Tottenham in the first place?
He told The Mirror in 2021 that he left Spurs to fast-track himself to first-team football at PSV Eindhoven.
“At 16 years old, I felt I was ready for a first team. I backed myself 100%. I am very impatient,” he explained.
“The quicker you get young talents into first team football, the quicker they get ahead of the talent of other nations.”
Madueke made the right call, having since represented Chelsea and Arsenal at first-team level in the Premier League.
