Peter Crouch has an idea of what might happen during Arsenal’s Premier League meeting with Manchester City.

There’s always drama when Arsenal and Man City clash, with Pep Guardiola facing his former apprentice Mikel Arteta

Last time the two clubs met at the Emirates, Guardiola might’ve wished that he hadn’t urged Arteta to take the Arsenal job, as the Gunners won 5-1.

With City recharged and ready to show that they’re a force to be reckoned with once again, things could be different in N5 this time around, but Peter Crouch thinks the outcome will be identical.

Peter Crouch predicts Arsenal vs Manchester City scoreline

Chris Sutton thinks Arsenal will beat Man City, and Crouch shares the same take.

Speaking on his podcast, That Peter Crouch Podcast, the pundit predicted that it’ll be an ‘amazing’ contest that will end in three points for Arsenal.

“Oh, this will be an amazing game. Listen, I’ll happily go if you want me to. 3-2 Arsenal.”

Crouch predicted a well-contested game between the two Premier League title contenders, but believes Arsenal will have the edge.

After losing to Liverpool on matchday three, Arteta will be desperate to reinstate Arsenal as the toughest team to beat among the big six when City come to visit.

One thing’s for sure, and that’s that the Gunners should be the more energised team going into the fixture, as Man City play on Thursday night, whereas Arsenal played on Tuesday.

Arsenal need to exploit City’s key weakness

The fitness of both squads could be decisive, but neither team will focus on that.

There’s a tactical game to be won, a contest that the Arsenal manager will be desperate to prove himself in after the backlash Arteta received after the defeat to Liverpool

The main complaint pundits had about the Gunners after the defeat to Liverpool was how conservative Arteta’s approach was, a narrative that can be put to rest if Arsenal hurt City’s defence.

Guardiola’s back line is far from stable and far from where the manager would want it to be, something Arsenal must take note of.

A blistering attacking performance like the one fans were treated to against City back in February would leave some of Arteta’s critics red-faced.
