Arsenal are hoping for glory at Wembley in the Carabao Cup final against Manchester City.
The Gunners have won a couple of Community Shields under Mikel Arteta, but his only major silverware remains the FA Cup he won in 2020.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang made that possible back then, and he now has a message for Arsenal ahead of another final on Sunday.
Call it now, will Mikel Arteta’s record be intact after the Carabao Cup final?
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang sends message to Arsenal ahead of Carabao Cup final vs Man City
Aubameyang is Arsenal’s most lethal goalscorer in the last decade.
The Gabon international was outstanding in his first few years at the club and made a massive difference in the top end of the pitch.
Before he fell out with Arteta and was forced out of the club, Aubameyang was the captain who led Arsenal to FA Cup glory in 2020.
The striker almost single-handedly carried his side over the line and even scored a lovely goal in the final to help beat Chelsea.
Aubameyang, now 36, plays his football at Marseille, alongside Ethan Nwaneri, but he still has Arsenal in his thoughts.
Ahead of the Carabao Cup final on Sunday, Arsenal posted a video of the Gabon star’s FA Cup final goal at Wembley.
Under the post, Aubameyang replied: “Wishing you the best! COYG!”

Viktor Gyokeres needs to emulate Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang vs Manchester City
Aubameyang left Arsenal over four years ago, but he is still adored by many fans because of the memories he provided during the FA Cup run in 2020.
That is the kind of impact he had, which is incredible, even though the ending was sour.
Viktor Gyokeres, who is expected to start the Carabao Cup final, needs to produce a similar moment for himself on Sunday.
If the Swede manages to score the winner against Manchester City, as Aubameyang did all those years ago, he will become a hero to the supporters.
That could then give him the confidence to push Arsenal over the line in the three other competitions as well, which is exactly what Arteta needs.
