Arsenal icon Theo Walcott has previewed the Gunners’ upcoming clash at Anfield, sharing his score prediction.
So early into the season, there’s set to be a clash between two contenders for the title, as Arsenal take on Liverpool at Anfield.
Both sides have shown that there are improvements to be made as the campaign progresses, with Arne Slot’s side showing some frailties.
Liverpool have defensive issues, as shown by the four goals they’ve already conceded, while Arsenal need to be more fluid in attack, despite their 5-0 win last time out.

Theo Walcott makes Arsenal vs Liverpool prediction
Arsenal are yet to concede a goal this season, with the defence looking strong against Manchester United and Leeds.
Liverpool pose an entirely different threat, lining up with some of the world’s best attackers on their side, but will they be able to break Mikel Arteta’s side down?
Theo Walcott seems to think so, as the Arsenal legend took to The Overlap US podcast to share his prediction for the showdown at Anfield.
“I feel like they’re going to cancel each other out, to be honest, but I feel like there’ll be goals in this game,” Walcott said.
“I’ll go 2-2. The scorer I will go for Gyokeres, how about that?”
The former Arsenal forward believes that the Gunners will concede their first goals of the season on Merseyside, but will also add to Liverpool’s concerning tally.
Walcott thinks Viktor Gyokeres could trouble Liverpool, which is what many fans will hope to see after the Swede’s brace against Leeds.
Arsenal and Liverpool love draws
It’s unsurprising that Walcott predicted that the points will be shared on matchday three.
There hasn’t been a winning team between Liverpool and Arsenal at Anfield in the Premier League since 2021, when the Reds thrashed the Gunners 4-0.
Since then, there have been three consecutive draws, a 1-1 and two 2-2 scorelines.
Walcott thinks the clubs won’t be able to be divided once again, but without a doubt, both sides will be desperate to be on the winning side when 90 minutes is up.
