Thierry Henry would have been so proud of Bukayo Saka against Wolves, given the way the forward stepped up to win the game for Arsenal in what was nearly an awkward evening.
The 24-year-old produced two wicked deliveries into the Wolves’ penalty area, which both resulted in own goals being scored by the visitors.
The first was a superb corner which Sam Johnstone somehow managed to keep out before the ball ricocheted off the crossbar, off his back and into the net.

In stoppage time, Saka then produced another sumptuous cross into the box, which Yerson Mosquera diverted into his own net to gift the Gunners three points.
But it was a real captain’s performance from Saka and one which would have blown Henry away as he carried Mikel Arteta’s team on his back.
Bukayo Saka carried Arsenal to three points against Wolves
Ultimately, on an evening where Arsenal really struggled to break down a resolute Wolves team, Bukayo Saka ended up carrying Arsenal to three points.
Saka helped to create both own goals, made four key passes, had 61 touches and won all ten of his duels against Rob Edwards’ team.
Mikel Arteta made several changes to swing the game in Arsenal’s favour, but Saka was one of the players he refused to take off, and it paid off big time.

Even when the Gunners looked set to drop two points following Wolves’ late equaliser, the winger kept believing and delivered a cool cross which proved impossible to defend.
Recently, Saka also stepped up against Chelsea to deliver the assist for Mikel Merino’s equalising goal at Stamford Bridge.
Thierry Henry has previously urged Saka to be the main man for Arsenal, and against Wolves, he carried the team on his back.
The Arsenal legend did the same many times back in the early 2000s, but the North London club have another superstar who can now do the same.
Henry is a huge supporter of Saka, so on a night where the team struggled, he would have been so proud to see the Arsenal captain stand up and make things happen.
Bukayo Saka was fuming at Arsenal’s performance against Wolves
After the match, Saka made it clear that he was not happy with how the team played and urged the team not to be so complacent.
Speaking to www.Arsenal.com, Saka said: “Obviously, I’m happy with the three points, but a bit disappointed with how we played and how the outcome was almost us dropping points, but we didn’t, so let’s take the points and move forward. It’s not the time to relax.”
Arteta will be delighted to see Saka speaking with so much passion about wanting to raise the standards, as ultimately, it was not a great display from the Gunners.
