Arsenal are nearing the end of their Premier League campaign as they clash with Liverpool at Anfield in another big match over the weekend.
The Gunners missed out on the Premier League title to the Reds this season, with the match offering up a chance for bragging rights.
Liverpool put themselves in the driving seat early on in the first half, with Cody Gakpo and Luis Diaz finding the back of the net in a 90-second demolition job.
Arsenal could’ve conceded more, but hung in there nonetheless as they pulled a goal back through Gabriel Martinelli.
In a stunning turn of events, the Gunners drew level, with Martin Odegaard’s strike hitting the post, before Mikel Merino followed up with a header on the rebound.
The goal scorer was then given his marching orders as he was sent off for a second yellow card, awarded by referee Anthony Taylor.
So, with that said, here’s a look at some winners and losers within the Arsenal team after the Liverpool clash.

Winners from Liverpool vs Arsenal
Gabriel Martinelli
Playing as a centre-forward for most of the match, Gabriel Martinelli looked the most potent threat in the Arsenal team.
The Brazilian consistently looked to take on the opposition, causing problems whenever he had the chance.
A goal for Martinelli after the break sealed a decent afternoon for the star, who is proving his worth as he returns to form.
Declan Rice
While Declan Rice was injured and missed out on Arsenal’s clash with Liverpool, the midfielder’s absence actually proved his worth.
In the first half in particular, the open nature of the Gunners in transition showed just how important the England international is.

Losers from Liverpool vs Arsenal
Thomas Partey
Thomas Partey struggled for Arsenal as the side were cut open several times through the midfield on transition.
The Ghanaian international seemed to be struggling to keep up with the play, shown by the number of fouls he ended up giving away.
Partey’s concerns may well raise some questions about a new contract for him this summer.
Ben White
Ben White came in for the injured Jurrien Timber, with the defender stumbling his way through the match.
The full-back appeared to switch off for the opener, while his difficulty in keeping the ball made the challenge even tougher.

William Saliba
While he is usually a cool customer at the back, William Saliba looked slightly more uncomfortable than usual for Arsenal.
The Frenchman switched off for the first goal, while he was far from composed in his usual actions for the side.
