Bukayo Saka stepped up for Arsenal against PSG on Tuesday night.
Arsenal were magnificent as they recorded a 2-0 triumph over PSG in their Champions League clash at the Emirates Stadium.
Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka provided the first half goals for Mikel Arteta’s side, who then remained composed to see out the victory.
Havertz maintained his historic home form for the Gunners in this fixture, as the German has now scored in all five games that have been played at the Emirates Stadium so far this season. As such, the former Chelsea man will take many of the plaudits and hog the headlines in the aftermath of this game.
To an extent, Saka’s brilliance has now become so routine that it regularly passes without a great deal of comment. However, it deserves to be noted that tonight, whilst standing in as captain for the injured Martin Odegaard, the Hale End academy graduate once against delivered for Arsenal.

Arsenal fans hail Bukayo Saka after PSG win
Many Arsenal fans on X were certainly quick to praise their talismanic winger.
One said: “You hear all these Left Back’s names and they build up a rep. Then Saka plays them and just skins every single one of them.”
Another stated: “Nuno Mendes is a serious, serious player. Unfortunately, Saka can’t be stopped anymore. If you like, win all the 1v1s, he’ll kill your team either way.”
One claimed: “Big players show up in big games, and Saka proves that every time. That’s my STARBOY!”
Another added: “Brilliant. Timber, Haverz and Saka have been class this first half. As well as the team as a whole.”
Bukayo Saka underlines world-class credentials
Saka has been called world-class in the past, and is fully deserving of such a description. Once again, in the face of elite opposition, he has proven himself to be a difference maker.
The England international’s importance to Arteta can scarcely be overstated, as is evidenced by the sheer amount of football that he is called upon to play.
This is a balancing act that the manager must get right throughout the season. Arteta cannot afford for Saka to burn out or be run into the ground.
In order to keep getting the best out of him in big moments, he must trust the likes of Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus to take some pressure off him at times.
