What furious Declan Rice was spotted saying after Arsenal’s draw vs Nottingham Forest speaks volumes

Declan Rice was not a happy man after Arsenal’s 0-0 draw against Nottingham Forest.

The Gunners knew very well that the game against Sean Dyche’s side was not going to be easy, but they were still the favourites to win.

Gabriel Martinelli missed the easiest chance of the season in the first half, and Viktor Gyokeres failed to convert his opportunity as well. Bukayo Saka’s attempt was brilliantly saved by Matz Sels, while Mikel Merino failed to hit the target with his header.

Arsenal tried but failed to get on the scoresheet against Forest, and Rice could not help but voice his frustrations after the game.

Declan Rice’s reaction after Arsenal’s 0-0 draw against Nottingham Forest speaks volumes

Arsenal could’ve extended their gap at the top of the Premier League table to nine points had they beaten Nottingham Forest.

Manchester City’s defeat against Manchester United earlier on Saturday must have given the Gunners a boost ahead of their game at the City Ground, but it didn’t.

Arsenal were nowhere near their best level, and what was worse was seeing them fail to convert the few chances they created in front of goal.

This isn’t the first time this has happened, either. The North Londoners have always underperformed in front of goal, and it has cost them many times in the past.

That happened again on Saturday, and Declan Rice was furious after the game.

As he went to applaud the travelling fans in the away end, the Arsenal number 41 could be seen saying: “F—–g s–t. Every f—–g time!”

That reaction told the entire story as Rice wasn’t just frustrated with the result against Nottingham Forest; his anger had built up from previous games in which his teammates failed to convert their chances.

Arsenal are making it difficult for themselves in the title race

A nine-point gap would’ve all but sealed the title race, but Arsenal’s draw against Nottingham Forest means Manchester City are seven behind now.

That is still a significant gap, but the Gunners will surely be kicking themselves because it’s all their own doing.

Arsenal could’ve easily scored against the Reds if they had taken their chances, and this seems to be happening in every game.

Mikel Arteta’s men could’ve been out of sight by now if they were more clinical in front of goal, but the fact that they keep missing has kept the title race alive.

If City somehow manage to catch up to Arsenal, the Gunners can only blame themselves.
