Arsenal thrashed West Ham 5-2 at the London Stadium to record their second win of the week.
After Arsenal beat Sporting CP 5-1, the Gunners were back in action to score five again but this time in the Premier League.
Four of Mikel Arteta’s Champions League goal scorers found the net against West Ham as Martin Odegaard joined Kai Havertz, Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Magalhaes and Kai Havertz on the scoresheet.
The most important thing for Arsenal was to earn three points on their quest to catch up to league leaders Liverpool.

Gabriel injury update
Arsenal’s win didn’t come without any concern as Gabriel was withdrawn at half time to be replaced by Jakub Kiwior.
Gabriel was taken off against Sporting after suffering what Arteta described as ‘discomfort’, seeing the Brazilian considered a doubt before West Ham.
Arsenal named their prized centre-back in the starting XI despite such doubts; however, Arteta might have caused some worry with his latest update.
The boss shared an injury update on Gabriel after West Ham, claiming that the 26-year-old was suffering from the same niggle he tended to in midweek.
Naturally, the Spaniard’s early assessment of his defender’s fitness would cause concern although Gabriel seemed full of spirit after Arsenal’s victory.
What Gabriel did at full time vs West Ham
There are positives regarding the Brazil international given how he celebrated the Gunners’ win against West Ham.
Gabriel was spotted celebrating with the away fans at the London Stadium, showing no sight of serious injury after being withdrawn at the interval.
There will be hope that the Brazilian’s withdrawal was simply precautionary however, Arteta’s update does cause some anxiety.
Still, fans got to celebrate the essential three points with the goalscoring defender, who looked to be at his usual level of passion and fitness by full time in East London.
