Journalist Charles Watts has now hailed Arsenal star Leandro Trossard.
Leandro Trossard produced an excellent display on Saturday, as Arsenal earned a 3-1 win against Burnley at the Emirates Stadium.
Trossard has been an impactful player for the Gunners since his £27 million January arrival from Brighton & Hove Albion. In just 36 appearances for Arsenal across all competitions to date, the Belgian attacker has scored seven goals and laid on twelve assists.
In the context of the modern transfer market, the fee Arsenal paid for Trossard now needs to be considered something of a steal. The 28-year-old’s versatility makes him a very useful option for Mikel Arteta to have, as he can be deployed anywhere across the front line.
Against Burnley, Trossard showed that he can effectively spearhead the attack. With Gabriel Jesus injured, and Eddie Nketiah also unfit to start, the former Brighton man was called upon to lead the line.

Leandro Trossard hailed for impact at Arsenal
He was a menace to the Clarets’ defence throughout the match, as his clever movement and link up play with the likes of Gabriel Martinelli, Oleksandr Zinchenko, and Declan Rice, led to Arsenal generating a number of dangerous situations in the final third.
Trossard also got on the scoresheet, breaking the deadlock on the stroke of half-time. Throughout the opening period, Burnley’s diligent defensive effort frustrated the Gunners. However, in stoppage time before the break, Trossard was able to bundle the ball over the line. The forward put his body at risk in applying the finish, as he collided with the post and required some treatment.
Trossard made Arsenal history with this goal, too. He has also earned plaudits for his all-round performance.
Arsenal-supporting journalist Charles Watts, posting on Twitter, said, “What a fantastic signing he [Trossard] has been. Versatility and so much quality, no matter where he plays. Superb addition.”
Arteta certainly will be delighted with what Trossard has offered since his arrival at the Emirates Stadium.
