On a brilliant night for Arsenal against PSV Eindhoven it does seem that Ben White’s performance went slightly under the radar.
White was excellent once again for Mikel Arteta’s side and was crucial in laying a foundation for such an emphatic win.

Moreover, the 25-year-old’s performances have arguably been slightly understated all season thus far.
Last night, via Sofa Score, White managed to complete 97% of his 61 passes as well as completing three dribbles and creating one big chance.
And whilst it transpired to be a comfortable evening for Arsenal, Ben White did help the side settle from the off against PSV.
Of course, it did seem that Mikel Arteta was keen to deploy the Englishmen as a centre-back once again this year.
White started the season alongside William Saliba with Jurrien Timber starting out wide.
However, with an unfortunate injury for the latter White was quickly shifted back to the right.
And despite the adjustment, White has already found last season’s impressive levels again.
White’s performance went under the radar against PSV
Arsenal legend Ian Wright asked Arsenal fans not to miss Saliba’s understated role last night.
But he could have easily said the same about White.

Whilst Takehiro Tomiyasu is currently a capable alternative in multiple positions at the back, any White absence would be an issue.
Mikel Arteta does have a much stronger squad this year but Timber’s injury has greatly reduced his options.
Timber was an excellent, versatile option across all positions at the back.
And without him, options could look a little slim with another injury.
However, Arsenal fans won’t be worried about that for now, and after the excellent PSV win White and his teammates will now be focusing on Sunday.
It’s a relatively early North London Derby this year and there’s already so much on the line.
