Max Dowman is the talk of the town after helping Arsenal beat Everton and he’s now been told what he did will be remembered for generations.
Dowman came off the bench to help set up Arsenal’s opening goal before he expertly ran the length of the pitch in the dying embers of the game to seal the result and become the Premier League’s youngest goal scorer.

Indeed, speaking on it at the time, Nevin admitted Dowman will be remembered for a long time.
“The creativity of Max Dowman…he created the first goal – he changed the game when he came on. That last moment when he ran the length of the pitch is absolutely phenomenal. That will be remembered with many, many years to come,” Nevin said for the BBC.
“That moment – do not miss it. You have to wait for them to keep on running and keep on running. It builds, and builds and builds until Max Dowman tapped it into the net.
“It is a beautiful moment of football.”
With Dowman now firmly among the players in the Arsenal squad who can definitely contribute to the title run, we may well see more from him.
Dowman has been pushing ever since pre-season and his return from injury a few weeks ago was like a new signing for Arsenal.
