Max Dowman put his marker down on the Premier League with a scintillating cameo for Arsenal v Everton and Rio Ferdinand has lauded the teenager.

Dowman climbed off the bench with Arsenal seemingly heading to a 0-0 draw to have a huge say in the opening goal before he broke clear in the final minute to become the youngest ever Premier League goal scorer.

Now, former Man United and England defender Rio Ferdinand has reacted in awe of the Arsenal youngster.

How many Premier League goals will Max Dowman score before he’s 20? 😳

Rio Ferdinand’s reaction says it all about Max Dowman

It really was quite the moment from Dowman as he ran clear in the final seconds to score.

The Emirates broke into a noise we’ve heard few times and it was the icing on the cake from the perfect substitute performance.

Now, over on social media, Rio Ferdinand has reacted to Dowman’s special moment.

With question marks over Arsenal’s ability to get over the line in this title race, Max Dowman has shown that he very much has the ability and temperament to contribute.

As Ferdinand says here, Arsenal have got a huge talent on their hands and one who, in reality, could lead the Gunners to success for the next decade and beyond.

Max Dowman could end up in England’s World Cup squad

England have a wealth of talent in attacking areas at the moment but there will be people who think Dowman is already good enough.

This current World Cup this summer might come too early but surely Thomas Tuchel needs to be at least having a closer look at Dowman in the next break.

We are talking about a generational talent here who has taken to Premier League football like Wayne Rooney did when he first broke through.

To have the impact he’s had on this game and Arsenal’s season as a whole is huge and barring injury, the sky is the limit for the young man.
