Arsenal are dreaming of winning the Champions League this season.

The Gunners have made it into the semi-finals of the competition for the first time since 2009, and Mikel Arteta’s men have a huge chance to go all the way.

On Tuesday, Arsenal will host French champions Paris Saint-Germain, whose fans put up a banner in their stadium, urging them to beat the Gunners.

Aaron Ramsdale has now had his say about the tie.

Aaron Ramsdale shares what Arsenal need to do to become Champions League favourites

The Champions League last four feels a bit different this season.

The usual favourites to win the competition – Real Madrid, Manchester City and Bayern Munich – have all been knocked out.

That gives Arsenal, PSG, Barcelona and Inter Milan a great chance of going all the way, and it will be interesting to see how the two semi-finals will play out.

Ramsdale, who spent three years as an Arsenal player, has broken his silence about the game against PSG.

He believes that his old club will immediately become the favourites to win the Champions League if they beat Luis Enrique’s side in the semis.

Ramsdale told The Metro: “I think every Arsenal fan and the players definitely backed themselves against Real Madrid, and they showed what they can do against that team.

“They’ve already beaten PSG, so that can give them great confidence.

“I know two legs can be difficult, but they’re still pushing and, for me, if they get through, I think they will be the favourites to win it.”

Arsenal have always had the upper hand over PSG

PSG are a very dangerous team and are more than capable of hurting Arsenal in the semi-finals.

However, the Gunners have already beaten Enrique’s side this season, and they made PSG look extremely average in that fixture.

To add to that, Arsenal have never lost a game against the French giants in history – the two sides have faced five times over the years, and PSG haven’t won once.

History shows that Arsenal have the upper hand against PSG, but Arteta’s men will still have to turn up and deliver in the two legs.

Oliver Glasner has exposed one Arsenal weakness that PSG can take advantage of, but the Parisiens are not perfect either – they are awful at set-pieces, and the Gunners could hurt them there.

It will be an interesting battle, but if Arsenal play at their best level over two legs, we think they will come out on top and reach the finals.
