The Champions League quarter-final draw has taken place and Arsenal will face Bayern Munich, but fans of the German club will be banned at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners qualified for the last eight of the competition for the first time in 14 years. We were all excited to see who Arsenal will face in the next round, and just like old times, it’s Bayern Munich.

Bayern Munich fans will be banned from attending Arsenal clash at the Emirates

Arsenal’s route to the quarter-finals of the Champions League saw the Gunners top the group and then beat Porto over two legs in the Round of 16.

The first leg of the quarter-final clash between Arsenal and Bayern Munich will be held at the Emirates Stadium.

That actually gives a small advantage to the German champions as any club would rather play the second leg at home because what happens in that game usually decides who goes through.

However, Arsenal have an advantage of our own now as fans of Bayern Munich will not be allowed inside the Emirates.

That’s because the German club’s supporters, in their side’s last game in the Champions League against Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico, threw fireworks onto the pitch.

UEFA slapped a €40,000 (~£34,000) fine on Bayern Munich and then issued the Bundesliga club’s fans with a ban from attending the away leg of the quarter-finals, which will be held at Emirates Stadium.

That could prove to be a massive advantage for Arsenal. The pressure will be on Bayern in the first leg, and over 60,000 Gooners will push Mikel Arteta‘s side to get a good result.

Harry Kane returns to Arsenal

Tottenham Hotspur legend and former Arsenal youth player Harry Kane will return to the Emirates Stadium for the first time since leaving Spurs.

The Englishman has an incredible record against Arsenal. He scored 14 goals and provided three assists in 19 appearances for Tottenham when he faced the Gunners, and we’re sure he will be looking to add to that tally.

However, the last time Kane faced Arsenal, he couldn’t do anything. Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba handled him with ease as the Gunners beat Tottenham 2-0.

Beating Bayern Munich over two legs will send Arsenal into the semi-finals, where we will face either Manchester City or Real Madrid. The final of the competition in 2024 will be held at Wembley.
