Is Declan Rice right or is the Premier League title race DONE?
Last weekend, Mikel Arteta’s team suffered a shock 2-1 defeat at the Emirates Stadium to Bournemouth, allowing City the chance to pounce.

Alan Shearer says Arsenal’s defeat to Bournemouth will cost them the title
Alan Shearer is so frustrated that Arsenal were unable to produce the performance they did against Man City during their 2-1 defeat to Bournemouth.
Last weekend, the Gunners looked a shell of their usual selves and the pressure clearly got to them as they were beaten by the Cherries.
The former Premier League striker thought they played very well at the Etihad and should have produced a similar performance at home to Bournemouth.
Speaking about the game on The Rest Is Football, Shearer said: “Where was this last weekend against Bournemouth? Where was this energy, and where was this performance, and where was this forward-thinking Arsenal against Bournemouth last weekend?
“Because I think that’s the result that might cost them the league last weekend rather than this weekend, because they were just so flat.

“I thought it was a good game. They created plenty. They went right up against Man City and thought we’ll take you on, and I thought it was a brilliant game. Two very good sides.
“Arsenal had their moments, the chances they missed, the one-v-one Havertz had, and the header from Havertz right at the end.”

Alan Shearer is now backing Man City to win the Premier League title, although he thinks there are still more twists to come.
“But yeah, you have to fancy Man City now because with the last I don’t know six or seven weeks with their performances, who they’ve beaten and how they’ve beaten them, you still have to fancy them,” he added.
“But I don’t I still don’t think both teams will go and win every game this season. I still think it’ll be a twist or two.”
