Liverpool midfielder Alexis MacAllister clashed strongly with Arsenal’s new signing Piero Hincapie.

Tensions rose during the international break in South America, as Argentina lost 1-0 to Ecuador.

Both teams were reduced to ten men due to two sending-offs, one being Chelsea’s Moises Caicedo.

Arsenal eyes were on the fixture, as new signing Hincapie was in action for Ecuador, keeping another clean sheet from left-back.

Alexis MacAllister responds to international clash with Arsenal’s Piero Hincapie

The timing of Hincapie’s arrival was frustrating, as the 23-year-old was ushered away from Colney to attend international duty almost immediately after his arrival.

Arsenal fans have had to wait to see the new signing in action, but would’ve enjoyed what they saw from the Ecuadorian over the international break.

It wasn’t just the loanee’s performances that would’ve turned heads, as Hincapie’s feud with Alexis MacAllister was televised.

The Arsenal and Liverpool representatives clashed due to Hincapie’s tackle on 18-year-old Franco Mastantuono.

Hincapie clearly tried to settle MacAllister, who was furious, but the Liverpool midfielder still isn’t over the squabble.

On Instagram, the Argentine posted a video of the clash, captioning it ‘YOU ARE NOT LIKE THAT’, also tagging Hincapie.

The Arsenal defender responded with some humour, saying, ‘How do you like it?’, with the feud going public for all to see.

Former Liverpool midfielder Tyler Morton commented, as did England international Curtis Jones, who saw the humour in MacAllister’s taunt.

Hincapie could make his Arsenal debut against Nottingham Forest

MacAllister had his fun on social media, but Hincapie got the last laugh, as his side won the game.

As the dust settles on the international break, attention will turn to the Premier League, with Arsenal looking for redemption after suffering defeat before the break in play.

Hincapie will fancy his chances of making his Arsenal debut in some capacity against Forest, as William Saliba is out due to injury.

Deployable as a centre-back and as a left-back, Hincapie has many strings to his bow for Mikel Arteta to utilise.

Fans would love to get a glimpse of the Ecuadorian at the Emirates after having to wait to see him in action in red and white due to the break.
