Martin Odegaard is nearing a return to action for Arsenal after a significant injury layoff.
Martin Odegaard last featured for the North London club in their 1-1 draw against Brighton at the end of August.
The club captain then picked up an ankle injury whilst representing Norway on international duty. Since then, Arsenal have struggled to consistently break down opposition defences, and have suffered in terms of their Premier League form.
Mikel Arteta will therefore be delighted that Odegaard has returned to Arsenal training ahead of the Gunners’ Champions League clash against Inter Milan.

Arsenal fans respond to Martin Odegaard’s Norway omission
Despite the 25-year-old being fit to train again, and perhaps even being in line to feature against the Italian outfit on Wednesday evening, Norway have not included Odegaard in their squad for the upcoming international break.
The former Real Madrid man will instead spend that period at the Emirates Stadium, in what has proven to be welcome news to Arsenal fans on X.
One said: “There is no way the club could let him go without massive backlash Glad they’ve all made the right decision.”
Another stated: “That’s more like it, I would have lost it if he joined them.”

Why Mikel Arteta is desperate get Odegaard back
Whilst there is an understandable eagerness to see Odegaard back in action for Arsenal, it is vital that his return is handled with care.
After all, Arteta cannot afford to further aggravate his injury by rushing him back too soon.
In the context of this full season, it is vital that the skipper is kept fit and fresh for as much of the campaign as possible. Odegaard is a key player for Arsenal, as his contribution for the club in Premier League last season proves.
