Arsenal have been desperately waiting for Martin Odegaard’s return to action for some time.
The Gunners have been without Martin Odegaard since he picked up an injury whilst on international duty with Norway back in September.
Arsenal fans have felt Odegaard’s absence keenly, as Mikel Arteta’s side have struggled to create opportunities in the final third in recent outings.
The club captain is Arsenal’s most effective playmaker, and his return will provide a very welcome lift to the mood at the Emirates Stadium.

Martin Odegaard returns to Arsenal training ahead of Inter Milan
It has been suggested previously that Odegaard will be fit to face Inter Milan on Wednesday evening, when the Gunners will travel to take on the Italian outfit in a Champions League encounter.
There are now positive indications that this prediction will come to pass. As reported by journalist Simon Collings on X: “At Arsenal training – and Martin Odegaard is here. Huge boost for Arsenal.”
However, the 25-year-old almost certainly won’t be included in the starting XI at the San Siro. He will need to be eased back into action.
Why Mikel Arteta is still carrying Odegaard fear into Champions League tie
As per The Standard, Odegaard has: “Been training on the grass for a few weeks but Arsenal will be wary about rushing him back after a long spell out.”
Arteta will be aware of the risk of aggravating the former Real Madrid man’s complaint and sending him back to the treatment table if he demands too much of the midfielder too quickly. The Spanish coach will be hoping that the player can make an impact from the bench in Italy though.
This has been a significant injury for Odegaard, with an intensive recovery regime, that has required the latest innovations in rehabilitation technology to get him back in action so quickly after he damaged his ankle ligaments.
It is vital that this final stage of his recovery is handled responsibly. There is still a long way to go in this season, and if Arsenal are to achieve any of their aims for the campaign then they will need Odegaard fit and firing on all cylinders.
