Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have both been linked with Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze this summer.
It’s no secret that Arsenal remain interested in Eze, but speculation linking Tottenham with Eze has intensified in recent days.
Indeed, it has been reported that Arsenal are Eze’s first-choice club, but their apparent hesitation over making a move has let Spurs into the picture.
Interestingly, it seems like Andrea Berta has already laid the groundwork with regards to making a good impression with Eze’s camp.

Arsenal have hosted Eberechi Eze’s agents at Emirates Stadium
Journalist Dean Scoggins has spoken at length about Arsenal and Tottenham’s interest in Eze.
And while Scoggins revealed that Tottenham are “very close-knit” with Eze’s camp, he said Berta has also had them as guests at the Emirates Stadium in the past.
“Tottenham have long courted Eze,” Scoggins said on The Sun’s Transfers Exposed. “The agency works very closely with Tottenham.
“There are a lot of players within the same agency who play for Spurs. The manager, the backroom team. They’re very close knit.
“Eze’s family, his agents have been guests at the Tottenham stadium before.
“But that happens quite a lot, you know, Arsenal and Berta have had the agency as guests at Arsenal as well.”
The one problem Arsenal could have in accommodating Eberechi Eze in the squad
Scoggins went on to say Arsenal are expected to be favourites for Eze over Tottenham at this moment in time, as they are likelier than Spurs to win the Premier League.
He also reiterated that Eze would prefer a move to the Gunners – but one issue for the North Londoners could be where he would be expected to play in Mikel Arteta’s team.
“Eze is a player who needs to play regularly,” Scoggins said. “And wants to be in the England squad and England team for the World Cup next year.
“Now, if he goes to Arsenal, is he going to be parked out on the left, which is not his favourite position?
Host Will Push said: “He’s not going to play as the left eight because that’s Declan Rice. So, is he going to replace Martin Odegaard?”
“And that’s the thing, isn’t it? (Gabriel) Martinelli, that’s clearly where they need the most improvement.
“He didn’t have a great season, Odegaard, did he? But you sense he’s still – as club captain as well – going to get first dibs almost or at least a chance to prove himself.”
