Last summer, Andrea Berta promised Mikel Arteta that he would deliver him a Premier League-winning squad, and now the pair are aiming for the Champions League.
Arteta became the first Arsenal manager to win the Premier League title in 22 years last season after beating Manchester City by seven points.
Now that you’ve all had time to reflect, why did Arsenal lose the Champions League final?

Andrea Berta wants to help Mikel Arteta win the Champions League
Andrea Berta now wants to help Mikel Arteta win the Champions League after delivering the Premier League title, according to Hand of Arsenal.
The Italian director arrived at the Emirates Stadium back on March 30, and he made it clear to Arteta that he would help win the Premier League.
That has now been achieved, and the next target has been set on becoming the first Arsenal team ever to win the European Cup.
Arteta’s greatest ambition is to win the Champions League with Arsenal, especially given the fact that the club have never won the title.
The Gunners have just one European trophy to their name, which is the European Cup Winners’ Cup from 1994.
🏆 Fill in the blank: I am ___% confident Arsenal can retain our Premier League title next season…
The North London club’s record on the continent is pretty poor, but if there is anyone who could change that, it is Arteta and this Arsenal team.
Last season, Arsenal suffered the heartbreak of losing the Champions League final on penalties, with Gabriel Magalhaes and Eberechi Eze both missing from 12 yards.
But now, after delivering on his first promise of helping construct a league title-winning squad, the full focus is on getting the job done in the Champions League.
Andrea Berta has interest from the Saudi Pro League
Berta is believed to have had interest from the Saudi Pro League in bringing him over as a sporting director to the Middle East.
Saudi have made a play to try and lure the Arsenal director over to the Pro League, but it seems as though he wants to remain in North London and win the Champions League.
Bayern Munich also tried for Berta, but again, the Italian seemingly has no interest in leaving anytime soon.
