Anthony Gordon says Arsenal have a ‘powerful’ player who can completely bamboozle defenders

Arsenal have the most complete squad in the Premier League.

The Gunners signed eight new players in the summer and are now capable of fielding two excellent teams when everyone is fully fit.

That is the sort of depth that they have lacked for a long time, and Mikel Arteta will be hoping that this will get his side over the line.

One of those eight new signings has impressed everyone, including rival players.

Anthony Gordon raves about Arsenal star Noni Madueke

Newcastle United star Anthony Gordon is one of the best wingers in the Premier League.

The England international was a big prospect when he was at Everton, and he has taken his game to a whole new level since joining Eddie Howe’s side.

Gordon, who was a target for Arsenal in the past, knows what it takes to be an excellent winger. He is one himself and has played with and against other top-class wide players as well.

One of the key skills that a winger needs to possess is the ability to deceive the opposition full-back.

Gordon believes that there’s nobody in the England setup who does that better than new Arsenal signing Noni Madueke.

When asked to name the player who is the best at deceiving defenders, he said on England Football Learning’s TikTok channel: “For deception, I’ll go Noni Madueke.

“I think 1v1, he’s top. He’s very fast and very powerful, but also very good at deceiving defenders. He can cut inside or go outside.

“I think that’s important for a winger to be able to have both in your arsenal.”

Noni Madueke needs to make a statement against Manchester City

Madueke has impressed everyone since joining Arsenal in the summer.

The Englishman’s pace and dribbling on the right flank have caused opposition left-backs all sorts of problems, but he still hasn’t scored or assisted yet in an Arsenal shirt.

That could change on Sunday.

Manchester City’s weak point is in their left-back position, with Rayan Ait-Nouri expected to miss the game.

That gives Madueke the chance to destroy City from the right wing, but it will only happen if Arsenal get the ball to him quickly.
