Antoine Griezmann has spoken very highly of Arsenal as a club ahead of facing them with Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.

Following the 1-1 draw in the first leg at the Metropolitano, the tie is finally poised with the two teams set to go head-to-head at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal are looking to reach their first Champions League final since 2005; meanwhile, Atletico are looking to reach their fourth final.

Ahead of the match, Griezmann has been sharing his thoughts on Arsenal as a club, having faced them four times in the past.

Antoine Griezmann believes Arsenal are a really impressive club and he is looking forward to facing them on Tuesday evening.

Atletico and Griezmann trained at the Emirates Stadium on Monday evening ahead of the clash, with the Frenchman really taking in the surroundings in N5.

Griezmann has played at the Emirates on two occasions, scoring once in the Europa League back in 2018.

When asked about Arsenal and the Emirates, Griezmann told TNT Sports: “Yes, well, this stadium brings back good memories, a lot of suffering too.

“I remember the goal I scored in that goal over there. So hopefully I can score one at the other end.

“The stadium is incredible, the fans are incredible, the club is incredible. For us, it’s an honour to play a Champions League semi-final, and hopefully we can give our fans something to celebrate.”

Arsenal have been boosted by Man City dropping points in the Premier League title race, and the stadium should be rocking on Tuesday evening.

Mikel Arteta’s team could now enjoy a historic end to the season, with the Premier League and Champions League on the line.
