Norway’s Antonio Nusa is in a good position to pick the better player out of Martin Odegaard and Erling Haaland.
Both are key figures in the international set up and in terms of Arsenal and Man City, they are absolutely crucial to both teams’ success.
Still, one has to be better than the other in terms of ranking and according to Nusa, it’s clear.
Is Max Dowman the obvious replacement for Noni Madueke at Arsenal if he is ruled out?
Antonio Nusa ranks Erling Haaland above Martin Odegaard
These sorts of things are always subjective but it does hold more credence when a current player gives their opinion.
Nusa is another star among many for Norway but when asked who the best player he’d ever played with was for Fotmob, he quickly went with Erling Haaland.
Still, when asked if not Haaland who would it be, then Nusa was quick to add Martin Odegaard there as his second choice.
Erling Haaland and Martin Odegaard’s records for Norway
Norway have a rich history of players making plenty of appearances for their country and that list is currently topped by former Liverpool defender, Jon-Arne Riise.
Riise has 100 caps but it’s not beyond the realms of possibility that Haaland and Odegaard both catch him.

Odegaard is currently sat on 67 caps after making his debut as a 15-year-old and at just 27, has years in the tank.
As for Haaland, his record is quite outstanding. He has made 49 appearances for his country, scoring quite an astonishing 55 goals already. Like Odegaard, Haaland is still mid-20s and he will close on the 100-cap mark with ease if he can stay fit.
Norway might well be dark-horses in the World Cup this year. Haaland and Odegaard both missed out in Qatar and will be keen to make amends.
