The transfer window may have closed two weeks ago, but Arsenal have just announced another new signing

Indeed, the Gunners have bolstered their youth ranks with a new addition.

Arsenal’s Hale End academy system has produced some stars in recent years, and they’re looking to continue that good work with more focused youth recruitment too.

Arsenal have made some exciting young signings in recent years, Mika Biereth was signed from Fulham a few years ago, and now Biereth has become a star elsewhere, while Tommy Setford joined last summer from Ajax and Setford has been tipped for big things too.

Now, Arsenal have brought in another youngster, and this could be a very exciting signing.

Arsenal sign Archie Stevens

Arsenal have announced the signing of young winger Archie Stevens.

The 19-year-old had been on trial with the Gunners in recent times, and he’s done enough during that period to earn a professional contract with the north London club.

At the age of 19, Stevens already has first-team experience with Rangers.

Meanwhile, Stevens is also an England youth international.

Stevens has clearly impressed during his trial period, as he’s earned a glowing review from Per Mertesacker, saying:

“Since Archie has been with us, he has really impressed as a person and player. He has fit into our environment seamlessly and has been really impressive in matches and in training. Archie has absolutely earned this next stage in his career with his professional contract with us.

“We welcome Archie to our Academy and are all looking forward to working with him in his continued development.”

Arsenal have signed another young star from Scotland

Stevens arrives at Arsenal from Rangers, and he’s not the only young star to have arrived from Scotland this summer.

Indeed, Callan Hamill joined Arsenal earlier in the transfer window, and he already looks to be a talent.

Hamill is already captaining the Arsenal U18s team just weeks after joining the club and at the age of just 16.

The future continues to look very bright for Arsenal, and who knows? Perhaps Stevens could himself develop into a first-team star one day under Mikel Arteta.
