Arsenal’s summer transfer window hasn’t fully got going yet.
The Gunners have made one signing, but, with all due respect, it’s hard to get too excited about the idea of bringing Illan Meslier in on a free transfer as your third-choice goalkeeper.
However, things could be about to heat up at the Emirates.
Bruno Guimaraes is after a move to Arsenal, and according to Nick Callow, speaking on Hayters TV, another transfer deal is close for Mikel Arteta’s side.
👀 How much is Leandro Trossard worth to Arsenal? Should the Gunners be selling him at all?!
Christos Tzolis close to joining Arsenal
Christos Tzolis has been linked to Arsenal throughout this summer transfer window.
However, as of yet, there hasn’t been much headway made in this transfer.
That may soon change though.
Indeed, according to Callow, after making checks on this transfer he’s led to believe that Tzolis is actually pretty close to joining Arsenal.
“Interesting story for the Premier League champions Arsenal, they are moving very firmly for the Club Brugge winger Christos Tzolis. It seems to be pretty close from what I can make out in my checks he would come in as a replacement for Leandro Trossard who has been sold to Besiktas in a £17m deal,’ Callow said.
This would be a smart bit of business from the Gunners.
Leandro Trossard will be a miss down that left side, but Tzolis is cut from a similar cloth.
Much like Trossard, Tzolis cut his teeth in the Belgian Pro League and his output in the final third is also very impressive.
Of course, doing it in the Premier League is completely different to doing it in Belgium, as Tzolis knows from his time at Norwich City.
Tzolis will return to England a much better player, and, who knows? Perhaps he will become a star at Arsenal in time to come.
