Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly are both likely to star for Arsenal against Preston North End this evening.
Arsenal and Preston North End will go head to head in an EFL Cup clash.
Mikel Arteta is likely to heavily rotate his starting XI for this fixture. Hale End academy duo Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly are amongst those who are likely to come into the team for this game.
The 17-year-old duo are in the process of establishing themselves in the first team, and have both impressed when called upon this season.
Nwaneri has thrilled Arsenal fans with his performances, and stole the show last time out in this competition as he bagged a brace against Bolton Wanderers, opening his account for the North London club.
Meanwhile, Lewis-Skelly has demonstrated his maturity and remarkable composure, stepping in at times to provide cover at left-back and in the middle of the park.

What Arsenal wonderkids Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly are really like
Arsenal staff have been enthusiastic about Nwaneri and Lewis-Skelly for a long time. The pair not only possess incredible talent, but have also proven themselves to have an excellent mentality and work ethic, as that is what is required to make the step up to the highest level.
Former Hale End academy coach Dan Micciche has now offered an insight into what the two youngsters are really like.
Speaking to The Standard, he said: “I think sometimes people can misunderstand confidence with arrogance. What Ethan and Myles had was that eye of the tiger, they had that look in their eyes that whenever they came through the building, they were there to work.
“Those two are really pushy and demanding. They want to see everything. They want more and more information. They love it and you can tell they are so passionate about it. They see the opportunity and want to grab it with both hands. They are great to work with.”
Arsenal fans demand youth from Mikel Arteta
The Emirates Stadium faithful have made it clear that they want to see the manager invest his faith in youth.
Arsenal fans have urged Arteta to give Nwaneri and Lewis-Skelly more game time. Certainly, as the Gunners have endured something of an injury crisis already this season, the opportunity to show faith in youthful talents has been there.
If Nwaneri and Lewis-Skelly impress against Preston North End then the calls for their involvement will intensify.
