Arsenal have released an injury update on their official website ahead of our Premier League clash against Leeds United on Sunday.
The Gunners have lost two games in a row now and are desperate to get back to winning ways. Mikel Arteta’s men cannot afford any more slip-ups, but injuries to key players is just not helping us at the moment.
Arsenal have confirmed that both Thomas Partey and Kieran Tierney will miss the game on Sunday. The former hobbled off injured in our last game against Villa, while the Scotsman has barely played since the turn of the year due to a calf issue.

David Luiz and Bernd Leno are expected to be back which is some relief, but the negatives outweigh the positives and Arteta has a lot of thinking to do ahead of what is now a must-win game against Leeds this weekend.
When will Partey and Tierney return?
Arsenal have revealed that Partey has suffered a strain on his left hamstring. It is claimed that he will be assessed as he continues to rehabilitate from his injury, but it doesn’t sound good.
Hamstring injuries often keep players out for a while. Thankfully for Partey, it is just a strain and not a tear, and he should be able to return in a week or two, unless there’s something we don’t know yet.
Tierney, on the other hand, will return to training next week. Arsenal have confirmed that he is recovering well from his calf problem and he should be back on the pitch at London Colney next week, and hopefully back in the squad a few days after.

Replacements against Leeds
Cedric is expected to continue at left-back and to be fair to him, he has done a good job there. It is unfair of us to demand a Tierney-like display from him, but he needs to hold his own to keep Leeds’ Raphinha in check.
The midfield is the area that will give Arteta sleepless nights. Partey and Granit Xhaka were forming a solid partnership, but the Ghanaian’s injury means Arsenal have to find a different solution.
Leeds play attacking football and they will leave a lot of space in behind. Arteta should consider playing someone who can exploit that and Dani Ceballos, who is now fully fit, might just be our best option there.
