Mikel Arteta’s tactics for Arsenal’s clash against Tottenham Hotspur will have to change after Thomas Frank’s dismissal.
Spurs have decided to sack their manager ahead of the North London Derby, which is no surprise to anyone considering their results.
Frank said he was convinced that he would be at the helm for the Arsenal game on Tuesday night, but he was shown the door just 12 hours later.
If you, as an Arsenal fan, could pick the next Tottenham manager, who would you choose?
Arsenal will have to make a few changes to how they will approach the game, but their objective will not change – they will still go for the win.
If they do get the three points, they could match a feat achieved by the Invincibles.
Arsenal could make North London Derby history if they beat Tottenham
Arsenal have always been the superior club in North London.
Tottenham had a few good years under Mauricio Pochettino, but they have never done anything to justify that they are the bigger or better club.
Arsenal have been so dominant over the years that they even have a name for when they finish above Spurs in the Premier League – St Totteringham’s Day.

That is the day when it becomes mathematically impossible for Tottenham to finish above Arsenal in the league table.
The earliest that has happened in history was after 28 games. That was in the 2003/04 season, when Arsene Wenger’s side won the title and became the Invincibles.
Now, if Arsenal win their games against Brentford and Wolves and then beat Tottenham, they will equal the Invincibles’ record.
That would be embarrassing for Spurs.

Arsenal’s points tally compared to Tottenham is humiliating for Spurs
St Totteringham’s Day coming early is not something Arsenal will celebrate, but it is utterly humiliating for Spurs.
What’s even more embarrassing is the difference in the points table.
If Mikel Arteta’s men win their game in hand against Brentford, they will have 59 points. That is more than twice as many as Spurs, who have picked up just 29 points so far this season.
The Gunners have never finished a campaign with more than double Tottenham’s points, but there is every chance they can do it this term.
Spurs fans will be hoping that the change in manager will change their fortunes, but if Arsenal play at their best level, they should be able to beat their North London rivals comfortably.
