Antonio Rudiger’s praise for William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes

Real Madrid star Antonio Rudiger has named Arsenal pair William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes as two of the three centre-backs in the world.

Speaking on the Inside Scoop Podcast, Rudiger was asked who he believes are the three best centre-backs on the planet right now, and he named the Arsenal duo alongside Liverpool star Virgil van Dijk.

“I would go Saliba. William Saliba and Virgil van Dijk, and he’s really pushing, he’s really pushing – I like Gabriel from Arsenal as well,” he stated.

Folarin Balogun praises Mikel Arteta’s decision to sell him

Arsenal have sold several Hale End products in recent years, and striker Folarin Balogun departed in the summer of 2023.

The striker is now playing for Monaco, and despite hardly receiving a chance at Arsenal, he has praised Mikel Arteta’s decision to sell him.

“I remember speaking to Mikel and we just spoke about his plans and he said that he wouldn’t be able to guarantee me the same amount of games I got last year,” he told JD Football.

“That was understandable, but from my point of view, I needed those games to improve and learn different things.

“It wasn’t so much of a big decision, I feel like it was a decision that is sometimes just the right decision.”

What really happened to Rob Holding at Crystal Palace

Arsenal also parted ways with Rob Holding a year ago, but things have not gone smoothly for him at Crystal Palace.

The centre-back is yet to appear in the Premier League for Crystal Palace, and has now been frozen out of the squad.

TBR Football has now revealed that Holding has had a fallout with manager Oliver Glasner, and there seems to be no way back for the Englishman at Selhurst Park.

Holding spent seven years at Arsenal, but failed to establish himself as a starter, and it has been downhill for him ever since he left the Emirates.
